Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use MSG THE DJ as a DJ, assistant or guest. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

MSG THE DJ provides DJ party links, guest messaging and request forms, DJ moderation tools, displays, profiles, event tools and related features. Features vary by plan as shown on the pricing page. Custom domain connections are not currently part of any plan.

2. Accounts and eligibility

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your password secure.
• You are responsible for activity through your account and for assistants you invite.
• You must be at least 18, or otherwise legally able to enter this agreement, to purchase a paid plan.
• Tell us promptly at support@msgthedj.com if you believe an account has been compromised.

3. Guest messages and public displays

Guests are responsible for what they submit. DJs decide what to accept, reject or show on an audience display. A sender name, message or request may therefore be visible to the DJ, authorised assistants and, when approved by the DJ, people at the event. Do not submit private or sensitive information.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give MSG THE DJ a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, copy and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and support the service. You confirm that you have the right to submit any text, image, logo or other content you upload.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use MSG THE DJ to:

• break the law, threaten, harass, defame or impersonate anyone;
• share unlawful, hateful, sexually exploitative or rights-infringing material;
• send spam, automate abusive traffic, probe security or interfere with the service;
• upload malware or attempt to access another person’s account or data; or
• resell or copy the service except with our written permission.

We may remove content, limit traffic or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or others.

6. Paid plans, trials and cancellation

• DJ+ and Pro are recurring monthly or annual subscriptions at the price shown before checkout.
• Eligible new paid subscriptions include the trial period shown at checkout. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the selected subscription begins and the payment method is charged.
• Stripe processes payments and stores payment-method details; MSG THE DJ does not receive full card details.
• You can change or cancel a subscription through Plans & Billing. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period and access continues until then.
• Payments already made are not refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us. Your statutory rights are not affected.
• If payment fails, paid access may continue briefly while payment is retried, then return to Free. Your account and shorter Free retention rules may continue to apply.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep MSG THE DJ available and useful, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may maintain, secure, change or retire features. If we make a material change to a paid plan or these terms, we will take reasonable steps to give account holders notice before it applies.

8. Suspension and ending an account

You may stop using the service at any time and can ask us to close your account. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breaches, security risk, unlawful use, non-payment or where required by law. Provisions that need to continue after closure, including payment obligations and responsibility for prior conduct, remain effective.

9. Responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, MSG THE DJ is not responsible for content submitted by users, a DJ’s moderation choices, event decisions, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these terms. Consumers keep all rights provided by applicable law.

10. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the UK, you also keep any mandatory rights and may bring a claim in the courts available to you under applicable law.
